The Opportunity We need a team player who combines people skills with IT expertise to sustain and improve technology supporting the Army and Combatant Commander’s operations.
As an IT Systems Administrator you will manage physical and virtualized servers, maintain Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, and File Servers, and ensure infrastructure is secure, functional, and available.
Your Responsibilities
Monitor system performance and address errors, warnings, and events using tools such as Event Viewer and SIEM.
Update and patch critical systems, provide configuration management, and conduct security reviews.
Collaborate with the team to modernize network and infrastructure, leveraging PowerShell, cloud computing, and cybersecurity practices.
Work with security teams to meet compliance and vulnerability remediation requirements.
You Have
5+ years administering Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 in an enterprise IT environment.
2+ years network operations experience, including installation and maintenance of network devices.
Experience with fiber and copper cable management.
Knowledge of Active Directory, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and Group Policy Management.
PowerShell scripting skills for administration, automation, and reporting.
Ability to troubleshoot and monitor network and system performance using native tools such as Event Viewer, Performance Monitor, and Task Scheduler.
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
HS diploma or GED.
Information Assurance Technician Level II certification.
Microsoft or Linux Computing Environment certification.
Nice If You Have
Experience managing VMware or other virtualization platforms.
Ability to apply updates, patches, and configuration changes in compliance with IT policies and change management processes.
Experience maintaining and optimizing file servers, print services, and related access permissions.
Documentation of processes, configurations, and scripts to support operational transparency.
Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology field.
Information Assurance Technician Level III certification.
Cisco Certified Network Associate or Professional Certification.
Clearance Applicants selected will undergo a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
Compensation Salary range: $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). Benefits include health, life, disability, financial, and retirement plans, paid leave, professional development, tuition assistance, work‑life programs, and dependent care. Full‑time and part‑time employees working at least 20 hours per week are eligible for Booz Allen’s benefits program.
