Advanced Specialist, IT Project Management
ResMed is looking for an Advanced Specialist in IT Project Management to join its Global Technology Solutions (GTS) division, which creates innovative, scalable, and secure platforms and services for patients, providers, and partners worldwide.
The strategy of GTS focuses on aligning goals and promoting collaboration across all organizational areas, fostering shared ownership, developing flexible platforms that can easily scale to meet global demands, and implementing global standards for key processes to ensure efficiency and consistency.
The Advanced Specialist, IT Project Management leads the full lifecycle of complex IT projects—including system enhancements, upgrades, and new feature/capability implementations that support critical business functions in Revenue. This senior-level role manages large budgets and works with cross‑functional teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Execution
Lead the full lifecycle of IT projects from initiation to closure, following structured agile project management methodologies.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including scope, schedules, milestones, budgets, resource allocation, and risk plans.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining high‑quality standards.
Coordinate internal resources and third‑party vendors for flawless project execution.
Communication & Stakeholder Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for all project‑related communications.
Communicate project status, risks, and changes effectively to stakeholders at all levels, including executives, business users, and technical teams.
Facilitate project meetings, prepare documentation, and ensure clarity and alignment across teams.
Lead sprint ceremonies, present ways of working, and ensure milestones are achieved.
Risk, Issue, and Change Management
Proactively identify project risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies, and manage escalations.
Evaluate and manage change requests while maintaining project integrity and timelines.
Ensure compliance with organizational governance and quality standards.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
Guide cross‑functional teams, fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Support team members by removing roadblocks and ensuring smooth workflow and collaboration.
Motivate the team in a dynamic environment, adjusting priorities when needed.
Process Improvement
Continuously evaluate project management processes to ensure efficiency and scalability.
Recommend and implement improvements to enhance project delivery.
Qualifications Required
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Management, or related field.
10+ years of experience managing IT projects with multi‑disciplinary teams.
Proven experience in structured project execution using methodologies such as Agile or hybrid models.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem‑solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and manage competing demands.
Preferred
PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum certification.
Experience with tools such as Jira, MS Project, Confluence, or similar project management software.
