Join Kona Medical Consulting as a Behavior Technician / Registered Behavior Technician in the VA area. We are looking for dedicated professionals in locations including Tysons, Annandale, Aldie, Woodbridge, Lorton, Arlington, Alexandria, Springfield, Manassas, McLean and Falls Church.

Job Summary We seek applicants with a Bachelor’s degree in human services (social work, psychology, rehabilitation, special education, etc.) and at least 1 year of experience teaching, training, or providing ABA services to children and young adults. The selected candidate will provide in‑home ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) services to children with Autism, Intellectual Disabilities, and other Developmental Disabilities. The role requires a minimum of 15 hours per week (morning or afternoon shifts) and supervision by a clinical BCBA on a weekly to bi‑weekly basis.

Responsibilities

Implement behavior treatment programs designed by the supervising Behavior Analyst.

Collect data and complete treatment notes as required.

Work independently, write daily notes, and maintain behavior data.

Communicate effectively with the supervisor, caregivers, and the child.

Qualifications

Graduated with at least a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, or a related field.

Minimum 15 hours available per week from 8 AM–7 PM.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with proof of auto insurance.

Physically able to move around a child and handle up to 50 pounds.

Energetic, outgoing, and passionate about working with children.

Current RBT® credential, in good standing with the BACB®, or eligible to appear for the RBT exam.

Minimum 1 year of experience working with children, preferably in ABA or autism settings.

Completion of the 40‑hour RBT training course and RBT credential before beginning work.

Current CPR/First Aid Certificate and TB test required prior to starting.

Pay & Benefits Part‑time, up to 30 hours per week. Pay ranges from $22.00 to $27.00 per hour for non‑certified Behavior Therapists and $27.00 to $30.00 per hour for candidates with an active RBT credential. Benefits include paid training.

Employment Type Hourly, Part‑time.

Additional Information We follow all CDC guidelines when providing therapy sessions and require background checks for all candidates.
