Description

We’re looking for a Design Manager to manage our Meltwater Design System and AI-driven platform experiences. You will be a player/coach driving intuitive use and industry-leading outcomes, working with other designers to enhance global applications and design patterns, ensuring best-in-class interaction and visual design, and new AI products. You will oversee one direct design report to support Meltwater platform efforts.

What You’ll Do

Execute and design strong user interfaces, prototypes, wireframes, and visual designs using the latest GenAI tools (e.g., Lovable, v0, Cursor). Work in Figma to ensure pixel‑perfect designs.

Collaborate with designers and developers to align design with development requirements and system documentation, and work with the UX research team to identify user pain points and opportunities.

Champion user‑centered design principles in all projects.

Align Meltwater design efforts with core business objectives, executing on UX priorities and facilitating a strong design process to elevate our UI.

Mentor one product designer, ensuring high standards in interaction design, UI, and human‑centered design to create new design patterns consistent with the platform.

Partner with product managers and UX directors to foster strong design ethics and outcomes.

Lead teams through ideation, feasibility assessments, and story‑mapping workshops to enhance design and development processes.

Tell stories to cross‑functional leaders, developers, and stakeholders, promoting a holistic view of user experience.

Conduct UI reviews of design patterns through product‑based evaluations and system‑wide assessments.

Contribute to design culture while helping the design practice grow.

What You’ll Bring

Minimum 8 years of experience in Product Design/Visual UI Design/UI/UX.

3–5 years of experience managing a design team.

3–5 years working in SaaS and enterprise applications.

Portfolio showcasing extensive UX/UI work and experience with AI tools such as Lovable, v0, or Cursor.

Knowledge of industry best practices and design principles.

Track record of delivering products focused on final outcomes.

Strong communication skills for presenting ideas to business stakeholders.

Experience collaborating with engineering teams to refine and develop UX.

Proficiency in Figma.

Understanding of the Design Thinking process stages.

Experience collaborating with other designers for system‑wide improvements.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design or a related field.

Familiarity with front‑end technologies such as React and MUI.

Compensation

Base Salary: $140,000 – $160,000 USD per year plus up to 10% annual bonus paid in quarterly installments (subject to terms of applicable commission plan).
