.NET Developer (with AI Implementation as a Bonus) Location: ON-site 60608

Department: Internal Systems / Information Technology

Reports To: IT Manager/Director and VP of Technology

Hours: 7am to 4p daily with one Saturday a month 7:30a to 1p

Role Overview We are seeking a versatile .NET Developer to join our team in building and maintaining the critical internal applications that power our Finance, Sales, and Operations departments. In addition to traditional software development, you will play a key role in our company’s digital transformation by collaborating with our

AI Enablement Specialist . You will help bridge the gap between business needs and technical execution, specifically by building custom AI solutions and autonomous agents that automate complex workflows and enhance decision‑making across the organization.

Core Responsibilities

Application Development:

Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable backend services and APIs using C# and .NET Core/8+ to support Finance, Sales, and Operations.

AI Collaboration:

Partner with the AI Enablement Specialist to translate business process audits into technical AI requirements, specifically focusing on integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI agents into existing business tools.

System Integration:

Build and manage secure integrations between internal databases (SQL Server), ERP/CRM systems, and third‑party APIs to ensure a seamless data flow for both traditional apps and AI agents.

AI Agent Development (Bonus Focus):

Design and deploy agentic workflows that can independently perceive data, reason through tasks, and execute actions (e.g., automated financial reconciliation or lead triaging).

Maintenance & Optimization:

Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing legacy applications while optimizing code for performance and security.

Data Governance:

Ensure all applications and AI tools adhere to strict data privacy, security, and ethical standards, particularly when handling sensitive financial and customer information.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Proficiency:

Extensive experience with

C# ,

.NET Core/8+ , and

ASP.NET Core

for web and service development.

Database Management:

Strong knowledge of SQL Server, including schema design, T-SQL, and Entity Framework Core.

API Design:

Expertise in building and consuming RESTful APIs and securing them with modern authentication protocols (e.g., OAuth2, OpenID Connect).

Cloud & DevOps:

Familiarity with Azure or AWS cloud services and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).

Analytical Mindset:

Ability to collaborate with non‑technical business partners to document requirements and transform them into efficient software solutions.

Bonus Qualifications (AI Agent Experience)

AI Frameworks:

Hands‑on experience with AI orchestration frameworks like

Semantic Kernel ,

LangChain , or

AutoGen .

LLM Integration:

Experience working with OpenAI API, Azure OpenAI, or similar models, including knowledge of

Prompt Engineering

and

RAG (Retrieval‑Augmented Generation) .

Vector Databases:

Familiarity with vector stores (e.g., Pinecone, Milvus, or Azure AI Search) for building long‑term memory in AI agents.

Agentic Workflows:

Proven ability to build multi‑step, autonomous agents that use “tools” (APIs) to complete complex business tasks.
