About the Role The Senior Sales Manager will lead new business development efforts across the

Chicago market , focusing on international air and ocean freight solutions. This is a pure hunter role, targeting new importer and exporter accounts while leveraging a strong internal operations and pricing function to ensure smooth onboarding and client retention.

You’ll have the autonomy to manage your own territory, develop a robust pipeline, and position tailored logistics solutions across a range of industry verticals. Leadership takes a hands‑off, performance‑driven approach—providing support and resources without unnecessary micromanagement.

Key Responsibilities

Build and execute a Chicago‑focused sales strategy to drive international freight revenue

Identify, pursue, and close new importer and exporter opportunities

Sell air and ocean freight solutions across major global trade lanes

Manage the full sales lifecycle from prospecting through onboarding

Partner closely with operations and pricing teams to ensure service excellence

Develop long‑term, consultative client relationships

Candidate Requirements

Proven track record in international freight forwarding sales

Strong working knowledge of air and ocean freight products

Demonstrated success generating net‑new business

Solid understanding of global logistics and commercial freight solutions

Based in or able to work from the

Chicago metro area

Self‑motivated, commercially driven, and comfortable working independently

Base salary between

$90,000–$120,000 , depending on experience
