Base Pay Range
$170,000 - $185,000 per year
Job Overview This opportunity focuses on maintaining and automating large cloud‑based environments, with guidance and mentoring of junior team members.
You'll implement best practices for architecture, high availability, disaster recovery, management, and automation across the enterprise's cloud environment. Tasks include creating new infrastructure and critical automation aligned with growth goals.
Responsibilities
Build and optimize complex containerized environments with Kubernetes and Docker.
Manage fully automated workflow systems, including configuration and build complex IaC from scratch.
Lead cloud environment buildouts, including software installation/maintenance, patching, end‑to‑end lifecycle preparation, and updates.
Ensure reliability and management of SLAs, achieving high standards for internal and external cloud platforms.
Technical Skills
Deep experience with Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub, Terraform, Kafka, OpenShift.
Advanced scripting skills (Python, Java).
Hands‑on knowledge of Ansible and Puppet.
Strong understanding of IaaS implementation and configuration on AWS.
Preferred: 20+ days PTO, 15% bonus, two days remote work.
Location & Work Arrangement Hybrid role based out of Chicago, IL.
