Accounting Associate
at
Tyree & D'Angelo Partners
to join our Firm Operations team.
Tyree & D'Angelo Partners (TDP) is a private equity investment firm focused on control investments in lower‑middle market companies (EBITDA $1‑5M). Our strategy combines buy‑and‑build investment methods with a partnership approach that supports business owners and management teams to create substantial long‑term value. Key Responsibilities
Maintain the accounting functions of the management company and investment partnerships, including monthly bank reconciliations, transaction recording, quarterly financial statements, and capital account statements.
Manage capital accounts for Limited Partners, ensuring income and expense allocation according to partnership agreements.
Interpret partnership agreements and maintain compliance with fund governing documents and regulatory standards.
Assist in preparing annual tax returns with outside preparers and support year‑round tax planning.
Analyze and document purchase and sale transactions in collaboration with legal counsel and tax advisors.
Prepare capital call and distribution notices to Limited Partners.
Generate fund performance metrics such as IRR and multiples of invested capital.
Prepare draw notices and borrowing base certificates for the fund lines of credit.
Support investor requests, including audit confirmations, fee requests, and wire information changes.
Manage investor portal contacts, document uploads, and distribution.
Assist in preparing quarterly investor letters.
Assist in preparing cash flow forecasts, liquidity needs, and cash management for each fund.
Allocate expenses across entities and handle invoicing to portfolio companies.
Identify and communicate issues impacting accounting, compliance, and tax.
Improve processes, workflows, and accounting procedures, documenting and refining workflows for greater efficiency.
Execute ad‑hoc accounting and financial projects as needed.
Requirements / Qualifications
2+ years of Big Four public accounting experience with a focus on audit or tax (preferred).
Financial services industry experience, including fund waterfall calculations (preferred).
Highly proficient in MS Office products; experience with Investran and/or QuickBooks (preferred).
Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication.
Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and deadline awareness.
High ethical and professional standards, with maturity to handle confidential information.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required; advanced degrees a plus.
CPA designation strongly preferred.
Compensation Highly competitive base salary, annual performance bonus, and benefits package. Potential for future equity incentive compensation based on performance and experience at TDP.
