Principal Safety Engineer – Bosch Home Comfort USA
Location: Roseville, CAFull‑time. Start date per arrangement.
Responsibilities
Apply safety expertise to identify, analyze, and resolve safety issues.
Maintain safety standards based on risk/hazard analysis to meet regulatory requirements and HSE management systems (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, OSHA VPP).
Collaborate as a valued member of the site leadership team to provide HSE guidance, technical support, and coordinate activities.
Lead or provide safety input for the specification, design, build and launch of new processes and procedures.
Manage daily safety operations and risk mitigation for multi‑division production facilities.
Attend daily safety meetings, safety walks and audits.
Analyze injury/incident (near‑miss) trends and develop/communicate relevant safety actions.
Collaborate with other Bosch HSE sites/regions to improve overall performance in North America.
Qualifications
BS or MS in Safety Engineering, Environmental, or related major.
10+ years HSE experience in a manufacturing environment with hazardous chemicals and gases.
Experience identifying, evaluating, and developing procedural and system solutions that are cost‑effective and meet user requirements for safety, industrial hygiene, and environmental issues (chemical/gas safety, electrical safety, ergonomics, noise, laser, process safety).
Experience with lock‑out/tag‑out procedures and protocols.
Strong computer and data management skills; experience with web‑based applications, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Power BI, etc.
Team player capable of driving individual project work toward team goals.
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Industrial Hygienist.
Knowledge of chemicals and gases used in semiconductor processes and best practices to minimize hazards.
Strong initiative, independence, and commitment to high‑quality work.
Ability to prioritize in a challenging environment of competing needs and bring projects to closure.
Effective communicator comfortable interacting with multiple cross‑functional audiences.
Additional Information
Travel within regions up to 10% of the time.
Work on site in Roseville, CA.
Monday–Friday shift, overtime and on‑call when necessary.
Indefinite U.S. work authorization required; future sponsorship unavailable.
