Accelerated 10‑day class taught Monday‑Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuition, books, and fees paid by Acadian Ambulance. Full‑time employee status, benefits, and $11 / hr during training. Upon successful completion, upgrade to Emergency Medical Responder with pay $13.50 / hr and full overtime availability. Commitment: Work as an EMR for Acadian Ambulance for 1 year post‑completion. Eligibility: Louisiana class D chauffeur’s license; drug screen, background check, physical lift test. Class free of charge; if you do not complete the course, tuition charges will apply.
