Roles & Responsibilities

Develop and test user management business process designs in Appian, working with document management, user access, and user summary dashboards.

Review and verify implementation of applications according to design best practices, performance, and security.

Focus on business logic and process flows; design, develop and implement business logic, process models/flows, and UI screens in a BPM-based system.

Prepare and maintain application and security documentation as requested by clients.

Lead the build, test, and delivery of intelligent automation solutions using industry-leading vendor technologies.

Support data migration activities, such as mapping data elements, using ETL tools, and writing stored procedures to migrate data between databases.

Coordinate closely with team members to ensure proper fixes, unit testing, and configuration management.

Implement functionality and troubleshoot issues using a basic understanding of web development languages, protocols, and technologies (HTML, CSS, HTTP, JSON).

Demonstrate new functionality to business stakeholders and key end users to iterate on business processes and UI elements in an Agile software cycle.

Develop SQL, update data models, and implement common database best practices (indexes, triggers, data structure).

Ensure software maintains data integrity, security, and best practice standards.

Develop custom-built applications for public sector clients and provide thought leadership, guidance, and assistance in growing Appian Automation services.

Required Skills

10+ years of experience building solutions on Appian platform 22.X.

Strong knowledge of version control systems and code repositories such as Git.

Hands‑on experience with Appian Objects (Records, Reports, Tasks, News, Sites, Actions, Expression Rules, Constants, Query Rules, Interface Rules, CDTs, UI SAIL, Process Models, Decisions, Integrations, Connected Systems, Data Stores, Groups, Feeds, etc.).

Knowledge of application servers (JBoss, Tomcat) and web servers (Apache).

Expertise in HTML, HTML5, CSS, JSON, XML, JavaScript, and Ajax.

Experience with integration to Web Services (SOAP and REST), ESBs such as MuleSoft.

Knowledge of Appian Process/Solution and Infrastructure Architecture.

Expertise in full software life‑cycle development with Agile focus.

Experience with Appian Tool for application and interface design.

Security knowledge (Encryption/Decryption, TLS/SSL, Digital Certificate, SSO – SAML, OAuth).

Familiarity with the latest Appian releases including process mining, AI, and RPA capabilities.

Experience in cloud migration (on‑prem to cloud) and database migration.

Appian Certification is a plus.

Good verbal and communication skills.

Educational Qualification Bachelor's/ Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
