Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned infrastructure projects, coordinating internal resources and technical teams to ensure successful delivery
Oversee client‑related activities, manage support tickets, and collaborate cross‑functionally to meet project milestones and SLAs
Build, scale, and secure environments within a large, heterogeneous enterprise infrastructure supporting Windows, Windows Server, virtualization platforms, and Linux
Apply modern engineering practices including Infrastructure‑as‑Code, container orchestration, and software‑defined storage
Design and implement systems that are scalable, automated, monitored, and well‑documented
Provide training and operational guidance to support ongoing system management
Leverage the scale and complexity of production infrastructure to solve enterprise‑level challenges
Participate in incident root cause analysis across compute, storage, and network layers and implement critical solutions to maintain high system reliability
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in systems engineering within a production enterprise environment
5+ years of experience automating infrastructure and services
5+ years of experience with configuration management and monitoring tools (Chef, Ansible, Puppet, PowerShell DSC, etc.)
5+ years of coding experience in an object‑oriented or functional language (Python, Ruby, PHP, Rust, Go, PowerShell), including advanced scripting and modules
Strong understanding of Windows, Windows Server, and RHEL internals, with hands‑on Linux experience
Experience installing and configuring Kubernetes, Docker, OpenCue, and Slurm
Proven ability to complete tasks and small‑to‑medium features with minimal guidance
Experience supporting multi‑region environments, services, PaaS, or internal cloud platforms (preferred)
Experience leveraging APIs to streamline administration, management, and monitoring (preferred)
Chef experience highly preferred
Comfortable performing repetitive tasks, able to lift up to 30 lbs, reliable transportation, and typing speed of 50 WPM
