Director of ERP Applications
The Director of Workday ERP Applications is responsible for the operational management of the Workday platforms. This role oversees system upgrades, security, reporting, integrations, documentation, user support, disaster recovery, and system uptime.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Oversee team of 4‑5 managers, administrators, and developers.
Location:
This is a full‑time (remote/on‑site) position based in Texas, with preference given to candidates who live in Austin, El Paso, Houston, Permian Basin (Midland/Odessa), Rio Grande Valley, San Antonio, and Tarrant County (Fort Worth), or who are willing to relocate.
Travel Expectations:
Up to 10% during the busiest times of year for conferences, trainings and team step‑backs.
What You’ll Do – Accountabilities
Lead planning and execution of Workday bi‑annual releases and feature adoption.
Coordinate testing, validation, and deployment of new functionality across HCM and Financials.
Manage Workday security roles, domain, and business process security policies.
Ensure compliance with internal audit and external regulatory requirements.
Oversee development of Workday reports, dashboards, and analytics.
Oversee all ERP integrations.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery to stakeholders.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain comprehensive documentation of Workday configurations, integrations, and business processes.
Lead Workday support operations including issue resolution, service requests, and user assistance.
Monitor SLAs and user satisfaction metrics to drive continuous improvement.
Develop and maintain Workday disaster recovery plans and procedures.
Oversee system performance and uptime, ensuring availability meets or exceeds SLAs.
Coordinate with IT infrastructure teams to ensure business continuity and fail‑over readiness.

BS degree required, preferably with a major in information systems or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform essential duties.
5+ years administering ERP systems
5+ years managing ERP system integrations
5+ years managing enterprise data reporting
5+ years with ERP configuration and support
Physical Requirements
Primarily sedentary
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time
Ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
What We Offer Compensation & Benefits:
Salaries for people entering this role typically fall between $98,200 and $115,900, commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications and in alignment with internal equity. This role is also eligible for performance pay based on organizational performance and goal attainment. Additionally, we offer medical, dental, vision plans, disability, life insurance, parenting benefits, flexible spending account options, generous vacation time, referral bonuses, professional development, and a 403(b) plan. IDEA may offer a relocation stipend to defray the cost of moving for this role, if applicable.
