Our client, a fast‑growing SaaS company in the cloud technology space, is seeking a Director of Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting to help grow its accounting function and prepare for public company readiness. Valuation has grown 3X over the past 2 years; ARR now exceeds $250 million.

Job Description:
This role will oversee complex accounting areas, lead technical research, and support SEC reporting readiness. The position offers significant exposure to IPO preparation, M&A activity, and process automation in a dynamic, high‑growth environment.
Responsibilities
Own key technical accounting areas, including stock‑based compensation, acquisition accounting, leases, and capitalized software.
Prepare audited financial statements and disclosures to support future public company requirements.
Lead SEC reporting readiness efforts and establish processes for Form 10‑Q, 10‑K, and other filings.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with FP&A, Investor Relations, and Legal to ensure alignment on financial results and KPIs.
Support acquisitions, including due diligence, purchase accounting, and post‑acquisition integration.
Maintain and update accounting policies to align with U.S. GAAP and public company standards.
Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, automation, and accuracy.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required.
10+ years of progressive technical accounting experience, including Big 4 and public company experience.
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including ASC 718 (Stock‑Based Compensation) and ASC 805 (Business Combinations).
Hands‑on experience with SEC reporting and IPO readiness.
Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts to non‑technical audiences.
Compensation Base pay range: $260,000.00/yr – $260,000.00/yr. Depending on experience and qualifications, the role may include discretionary bonuses and participation in medical, dental, vision benefits, and the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
