Base pay range $150,000.00/yr - $190,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Lead the architecture, design, and development of electrical subsystems for complex medical platforms, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards
Translate user and system requirements into robust electrical designs, validating materials and manufacturing processes
Develop and execute verification and validation strategies, including simulation, prototyping, debugging, and performance testing
Implement rigorous design controls to ensure product reliability, safety, and compliance with IEC 60601 and related standards
Author detailed technical documentation, reports, and design histories to support regulatory submissions and continuous improvement
Optimize existing designs for manufacturability, cost efficiency, and enhanced performance
Conduct root‑cause analysis and corrective actions for electrical failures or anomalies
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across cross‑functional teams
Collaborate with mechanical, software, and systems engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions
Stay informed on emerging technologies and incorporate innovative approaches into product development
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred
Minimum 4 years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 2 years in Class II or Class III medical device development
Strong knowledge of IEC 60601 safety standards, EMC/EMI compliance, and regulatory design practices
Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB design tools (e.g., Altium, OrCAD)
Hands‑on experience with interface protocols (SPI, I‑C, UART, Ethernet) and power supply design
Familiarity with PLL, DDS, ADC/DAC, and low‑noise system design
Experience with DSP‑based systems and signal processing preferred
Background in multi‑phase design control processes, ideally in a startup or fast‑paced environment
Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to influence technical decisions across teams
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
