Senior Financial Analyst, AWS Infrastructure Finance, Forward Logistics
We are looking for a high‑energy, experienced Senior Financial Analyst to execute and deliver high‑quality financial planning and analysis activities within the AWS Supply Chain. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Supply Chain Finance team supporting the ACL‑Forward Logistics Team. The AWS Supply Chain Finance organization is a global, fast‑paced, dynamic team, partnering with the business teams delivering AWS computing capacity. We look across AWS Supply Chain processes and contracts, evaluating risks that could harm stakeholders and prevent us from achieving objectives. You should be passionate about producing financial analysis that enables management to make breakthrough decisions, drive cash flow, and delight our customers. You should be comfortable with ambiguity, dive deep into detail, and communicate the story behind the numbers.
Responsibilities
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting processes for spares expenditures.
Partner with AWS Infrastructure FP&A and business partners to create descriptive and prescriptive analysis.
Work cross‑functionally with business partners and various finance teams on strategic initiatives requiring NPV analyses and monthly reporting on financial status.
Develop metrics and reports to provide visibility into cost structure and drive actionable goals.
Develop business cases for ad‑hoc projects and present recommendations to AWS senior management.
Identify issues and remediation processes to address the root cause of problems.
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience.
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of quantitative role experience.
Preferred Qualifications
4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects to scale and improve controllership with measurable results.
MBA or CPA.
Knowledge of Tableau.
Experience working with large‑scale data mining and reporting tools (SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses.
4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis.
4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes.
Six Sigma Black Belt.
Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence.
Experience as a lean sensei or as a Quality Assurance Engineer.

Compensation Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200 per year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800 per year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Depending on the position offered, equity, sign‑on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
