Territory Sales Manager - Salt Lake City

Position Overview Based in the SLC metro, covering Utah, Western Wyoming, Western Montana, and Southern Idaho. Overnight travel expected to be 40‑50%. Reports to Director of Sales. Position status: Exempt.

Job Responsibilities

Achieves or exceeds sales targets through selling product into the dealer network, building dealer champions of the Festool brand and engaging end customers to drive pull‑through;

Targets A, B, and C accounts by present and potential revenue, cost to sell/service, and likelihood of success;

Allocates time and call frequency based on A, B, C account targeting;

Grows the dealer network by prospecting and opening new dealer accounts;

Increases market share by advising dealers on the maintenance of proper stocking levels, based on their specific business plan, in order to keep dealers focused and growing;

Expands the selection of dealer offerings in addition to dealer product knowledge;

Provides exceptional customer service through immediate response to dealer and end customer requests, continuous dealer showroom set up/maintenance and participation in shows/demo days;

Effectively educates dealers on products, programs, and campaigns;

Consistently keeps dealers updated on their profitability/sales goals;

Sells all products with particular focus on the Core Tools along with corresponding accessories and consumables;

Conducts in store dealer trainings on a consistent basis;

Utilizes CRM system on a regular basis and ensures information is updated accurately and timely;

Attends and participates in sales meeting, product training events, and trade shows;

Performs other required tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree preferred;

No territory sales experience required, three (3) years of related experience such as inside sales or retail management, preferred;

Ability and desire to learn new concepts and willingness to put them into practice;

Demonstrated commitment to professional development through coaching from direct manager and colleagues;

Must be self‑motivated and have a strong desire to win;

Comfortable working face‑to‑face with customers;

Must possess strong planning, prioritizing, and goal setting skills;

Ability to comfortably demonstrate power tools in a safe & effective manner;

Ability to set‑up customer events including loading/unloading tools from car;

Ability to lift up to 75lbs safely;

Ability to operate motor vehicle safely and in accordance with company auto policy;

Supports dealer product sales through attendance of trade shows and dealer events;

Working knowledge of computers including Microsoft Office;

Must present a positive and professional appearance;

Ability to actively listen; giving full attention to what customers are saying;

Excellent communication and presentation skills are needed to convey information effectively;

Outgoing personality and excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with colleagues and customers;

Ability to influence and persuade others;

Ability to stay informed on current industry trends and apply information to sales opportunities;

Commitment to deliver a high level of customer service;

Excellent decision making and problem solving skills;

Proficiency with English language, bilingual a plus;

Overnight travel: 40‑50% on average.

Compensation 75 % fixed / 25 % variable (Bonus Factor: 4). Commission on Territory Growth: 1 % paid annually.
