We were recognized as one of Glassdoor’s “Best Places to Work”.**About the Role**The Manager, Sports Analytics, is responsible for leading the delivery of insights and analytical strategy that drive performance across the sportsbook business. This role plays a critical part in shaping commercial decision-making by providing actionable analysis on customer behavior, promotions, and market performance.Managing a team of analysts, the manager will oversee the development of analytical frameworks, tools, and dashboards that enable the commercial, marketing, and VIP teams to optimize acquisition, retention, and customer value. The role will focus on driving measurable NGR impact through improved promotional efficiency, pricing insights, and customer segmentation.Reporting to the Director of Analytics – Customer Experience in iGaming & Sports, the manager will act as a key strategic partner to sportsbook leadership — turning data into direction, identifying growth opportunities, and embedding analytics into the daily rhythm of the business. The successful candidate will deliver material commercial outcomes (>$10M in annual NGR) by influencing promotional design, player retention strategy, and overall sportsbook performance optimization.**Responsibilities*** **Drive commercial value** across the sportsbook through actionable insights and analytical recommendations that improve performance of promotions, markets, pricing, and player value.* **Act as a strategic partner** to Sports Commercial, Trading, and Marketing leadership—embedding analytics into planning, budgeting, and campaign execution to maximize ROI.* **Lead the development of sportsbook analytics frameworks**, focusing on customer segmentation, market performance, promotional effectiveness, and retention outcomes.* **Quantify the impact** of key initiatives and demonstrate a clear return on analytical investment through improved NGR, conversion, and engagement metrics.* **Develop self-service tools and dashboards** that empower the commercial and VIP teams to access key sportsbook KPIs and performance trends in real time.* **Manage and coach a team of analysts**, ensuring priorities are aligned to sportsbook business objectives and analytical outputs are high-quality, accurate, and timely.* **Design and execute analytical projects** that clarify business performance, identify opportunities, and provide evidence-based recommendations for commercial decision-making.* **Translate complex data into clear stories**, ensuring senior stakeholders understand performance drivers and can make informed strategic decisions.* **Establish strong partnerships** with stakeholders across Sportsbook Commercial, Marketing, VIP, Trading, and Finance to align analytical outputs with business priorities.* **Lead modeling and forecasting initiatives** to predict customer behavior, retention, and promotional response, driving precision in planning and offer design.* **Support experimentation and testing** for sports promotions and pricing initiatives, ensuring robust measurement of uplift, cannibalization, and ROI.* **Deliver descriptive and diagnostic analyses** to monitor sportsbook performance, identifying trends, risks, and growth opportunities across markets and segments.* **Continuously improve efficiency** by automating recurring analyses and reporting processes, freeing time for deeper, value-add analytical work.* **Champion a data-driven culture** within the sportsbook organization, educating business teams on performance metrics, analytical interpretation, and evidence-based decision-making.* **Mentor and develop the analytics team**, fostering analytical curiosity, technical growth, and commercial understanding across all levels.**Essential Functions*** Must be able to stand or sit and operate computers and other technological devices for extended periods of time**Qualifications*** **Experience:** 6+ years in analytics, data strategy, or commercial insight roles within **sports betting, gaming, or a similar data-driven consumer business**.* **Domain Knowledge:** Strong understanding of sportsbook KPIs, including market performance, margin management, promotional efficiency, customer value, and retention dynamics.* **Commercial Acumen:** Proven ability to translate data into business outcomes — quantifying ROI, optimizing promotional spend, and influencing senior stakeholders with clear commercial reasoning.* **Leadership:** Demonstrated experience managing and developing a high-performing analytics team, prioritizing workload, and building analytical capability across the business.* **Technical Skills:** Proficient in SQL, Python, or equivalent analytical tools; advanced Excel and visualization experience (Tableau, Power BI, or Looker) preferred.* **Communication:** Excellent presentation and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex data for non-technical audiences and influence decision-making at all levels.* **Strategic Mindset:** Comfortable working in a fast-paced, competitive environment with shifting priorities; able to balance tactical reporting with long-term analytical planning.* **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field; advanced degree preferred but not required.The annual salary range for this position is $116000 to $145000.

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for participation in a performance-based bonus plan. **Gaming Compliance & Licensing Requirements**

As an online gaming company, BetMGM is required to comply with state gaming regulations which includes licensing obligations.

Applicable employees must be licensed by at least one jurisdictional agency, although certain positions require licensing by multiple agencies.

Failure to become licensed or maintain licensure with each agency as required for the role may result in termination of employment.
