The Sr. Enterprise Business Systems Analyst is responsible for the support, technical design, planning, implementation, and the highest level of performance tuning and recovery procedures for mission critical business systems, including Workday HCM and Financials. Serves as a key technical resource in the area of administration and support for complex applications, interfaces, and processes. Recommends the continuous improvement, redesign and configuration of operating business applications. Interfaces with technology vendors and consultants tasked with supporting and improving business applications. Investigates and analyzes feasibility of system requirements and develops system specifications. Identifies methods, solutions, and project planning, in order to provide a high level of service to the customers of the department.

Responsibilities

Performs support and troubleshooting as required for Workday HCM, Workday Financials, and other business systems. As such, leads problem‑solving efforts involving internal and external vendors and other support personnel and/or organizations.

Oversees and responds to issues with scheduled and ad‑hoc integration processes such as exchanging data with business partners, between internal BJ’s systems, as well as other external and cloud‑based systems.

Ensure all financial and HCM system (Mainly Workday) issues are resolved appropriately and timely. Maintain a consistent and clear process for tracking, reporting and resolving those issues.

Works closely with vendors and contractors on an ongoing support basis, as well on projects for system improvements, interfaces, upgrades, and new feature, module, and system implementations.

Responsible for participating in system assessment, process analysis, identification and documentation of system requirements, maintenance and functional definition of planned business systems changes.

Key resource for identifying, documenting, and implementing information system solutions that support more efficient and effective work performance based on inherent knowledge of business functions and processes.

Develops and manages project plans for the deployment of new and/or changes to information system applications utilizing the organization’s change management process across all affected business systems.

Analyze existing and future state business processes, systems and flows of data to identify opportunities for improvement; implementation partners, architects, developers and business units to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction.

Responsible for the coordination of all system maintenance, upgrades and projects related to system function and operability for business applications.

Responsible for the security and privacy of sensitive financial and personal data by implementing robust data protection measures, risk management practices, and compliance with relevant regulations. Ensure FIN and HCM system (Mainly Workday) security, as well as integrations, are working properly.

Serves as an educator and internal resource for staff regarding system (Mainly Workday) design, security, integrations and functionality through multiple means including creating and adapting documentation, performing one‑on‑one and group training sessions, and serving as an escalation point.

Positions in this classification may perform all or some of the responsibilities above and all positions perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information sciences, MIS or related field and/or 5 years equivalent work experience.

Must have advanced knowledge of human resource systems including payroll functions. (Workday preferred)

Must have strong knowledge of ERP accounting systems. (Workday preferred)

Some experience with financial and analytical system administration and support is highly desirable, but not required

Experience working with Workday integrations, security and Business processes.

Experience working with both internally hosted and cloud‑based systems

Experience with data management and data processing flowcharting techniques

Working knowledge of a range of diagnostic utilities.

Working knowledge of reporting, query tools and practices.

Some experience with centralized administration and automated rollout of patch management, security/service pack updates, and other applications.

Some experience in automation of server maintenance, writing scripts to automate server operations.

Strong understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.

Ability to conduct research into a wide range of computing issues as required.

Pay Range USD $120,000.00 - USD $125,000.00 /Yr.
