Our Pleasanton area client is looking for a Junior Content Developer / Technical Writer with up to 2 years of experience, preferably with I.T. knowledge or exposure to enterprise software.

Please note, this is a Junior Associate level position that pays $25 an hour w2.

Ideally, this candidate will have no more than 2 years of experience.

This role is onsite 5x a week at their Pleasanton location.

As a

Technical Writer

at Milestone Technologies, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining documentation related to the implementation and use of ServiceNow's Service Operations Workspace. You will work closely with technical teams, subject matter experts, and process owners to create content that clearly explains workflows, procedures, and platform functionality for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Key Responsibilities Create, edit, and maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for ServiceNow Service Operations Workspace, including standard operating procedures, process flows, user guides, and system configurations. Collaborate with engineers, developers, and IT service teams to gather information and ensure technical accuracy. Translate complex technical concepts and workflows into user-friendly documentation tailored for a variety of audiences. Organize and manage documentation repositories to ensure version control, accessibility, and ease of navigation. Audit existing documentation for completeness, clarity, and relevance, and make recommendations for updates or improvements. Develop templates and standards for content formatting, naming conventions, and structure to ensure consistency across deliverables. Create visual aids such as flowcharts, diagrams, and screenshots to support process documentation. Ensure all documentation aligns with Milestones brand, tone, and quality standards.

Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in Technical Communication, English, Information Systems, or a related field. 1 - 2 years of experience in a Technical Writer or Content Specialist role, preferably in IT services or enterprise software environments. Demonstrated experience documenting enterprise platforms, ideally ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Miro, Google Suite). Strong technical writing and editing skills with the ability to simplify complex information. Experience with content management systems and documentation tools. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with process mapping, workflow design, and visual communication tools. Understanding of ITIL processes and IT operations concepts is a plus. Experience with ServiceNow is highly preferred.
