About HYFIX At HYFIX, we are building pioneering Spatial AI and autonomous systems to shape the future of intelligent technology. Our team is global, forward-thinking, and passionate about innovation. We thrive on solving complex challenges and are committed to creating solutions that push the boundaries of what's possible.
About the Role We are seeking a
Navigation Systems Engineer
to focus on GNSS module performance, signal tracking behavior, and real-world positioning quality. In this role, you will evaluate and improve the performance of GNSS chipsets and modules across development and production, working closely with firmware, RF, and hardware teams. This position is ideal for engineers with strong
GNSS, navigation, or signal-processing backgrounds
who enjoy deep technical analysis, hands-on debugging, and turning field data into product improvements.
Key Responsibilities
GNSS Performance & Systems Analysis (Core Focus) Evaluate and improve GNSS chipset and module performance using real-world data, logs, and field testing Analyze GNSS signal tracking behavior, acquisition performance, multipath, and interference to identify root causes and improvement opportunities Work with multi-frequency and multi-constellation GNSS data to assess positioning accuracy, robustness, and stability Translate performance analysis into clear technical recommendations for firmware, RF, and hardware teams.
GNSS Module & Hardware Collaboration Contribute to GNSS module development by reviewing module-level design decisions and integration tradeoffs Collaborate with hardware and RF teams on antenna integration, RF front-end performance, and signal quality optimization Support module bring-up, validation, and performance tuning through development and production.
Firmware & Embedded Systems Collaboration Partner with firmware teams to debug and improve GNSS-related functionality in embedded RTOS and Linux environments Support firmware-driven performance improvements through analysis, testing, and validation rather than day-to-day application development
Cross-Team Collaboration Participate in design reviews with the Silicon teamand provide technical guidance.
Required Qualifications Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics, Aerospace, or a related field,
or equivalent practical experience Strong understanding of
GNSS systems and positioning fundamentals , including signal structures, tracking loops, interference, and multi path. Hands-on experience analyzing
GNSS performance
using logs, raw data, or RF measurements Experience debugging complex technical issues across
GNSS software, firmware, hardware, or system-level performance Ability to work effectively with firmware, RF, and hardware engineering teams to translate performance analysis into product improvements.
Nice to Have Qualifications Experience with
high-precision GNSS
technologies such as RTK, PPP, PVT, or multi-frequency positioning Experience with
GNSS + IMU sensor fusion , calibration, or navigation performance tuning Familiarity with embedded RTOS or Linux-based environments Exposure to GNSS module development, validation, or production support
Benefits 401(k) Dental insurance Vision insurance Paid time off Professional development assistance
Why this role is interesting:
Youll work hands-on with real GNSS data and hardware, directly influencing positioning performance in real-world products
not just simulations or theory.
