Managing Consultant, Electric Transmission Routing & Siting Project Manager
Base pay range: $87,316 – $106,972 per year.
Eligibility for Internal ERM Candidates
Minimum 12 months of employment with ERM.
At least two “Good” or “Meets Expectations” performance ratings in the past 12 months.

Your Impact
Lead new-build transmission projects from concept to completion.
Guide clients through complex environmental and regulatory landscapes.
Build strong relationships with agencies, communities, and stakeholders.
Drive business growth by delivering exceptional results and developing new opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Direct routing and siting studies and oversee technical analyses for transmission projects.
Manage multiple projects to meet scope, budget, and schedule expectations.
Delegate tasks to subject‑matter experts and mentor junior staff.
Prepare expert witness testimony and deliver oral testimony when required.
Represent ERM at agency meetings and public open houses.
Develop technical proposals and contribute to business development efforts.
Foster collaboration across ERM’s global impact assessment team.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Natural Resources, Land‑Use Planning, Cultural Resources, or related field (or equivalent experience).
At least 4 years of consulting or industry experience with power‑sector projects.
Proven success managing routing and siting for electric transmission projects, especially in the U.S. Mid‑Atlantic region.
Exceptional writing, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
Technical expertise in transmission line siting and construction best practices.
Ability to mentor teams and influence stakeholders effectively.
Willingness to travel up to 15%.
Position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with impact assessment issues (wetlands, protected species, cultural resources).
Prior expert witness testimony experience.
