Quanta

is an AI-powered accounting and finance platform that fixes a major frustration for businesses: stale and slow financial data. We can do in seconds what takes our competitors weeks, which is why we’re trusted by many of today’s fastest growing startups. Today’s status quo is a cycle of painful finance data lag caused by manual and infrequent processes. We’re solving this by automating accounting from the ground up, replacing outsourced manual work with software and static, manually entered numbers with a live, contextual view of the business. Our goal is to achieve something currently impossible: enabling every business decision to be made with instant and complete clarity. In doing so, we can help every business thrive.

About us We are a tight-knit team of 16, working fully in-person in downtown San Francisco. Our team combines deep experience across finance, product, and large-scale systems. We’ve built accounting platforms at affirm, ledgers at stripe and robinhood, and helped scale products from first prototypes to systems handling billions in transactions. We’ve also led complex software programs at meta, including multiple Quest headset launches that brought together thousands of engineers across hardware and software.

From founders and first finance hires to product leads and founding engineers, we understand our customers because we’ve been in their shoes, and we care deeply about the future of finance we are building.

About the role As an early engineer at Quanta, you’ll help define not just our product but our company. You’ll play a central role in shaping our architecture, engineering culture, and long-term strategy. We’re looking for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, loves solving hard problems, and takes ownership from idea to production.

What you’ll do

Design, build, and ship features across our stack that directly impact customers

Collaborate closely with product and design to define what to build, not just how

Help set technical direction, architecture, and engineering best practices

Use AI to help customers accelerate accounting workflows and uncover deeper insights from their financial data

Explore how AI can accelerate software development, improve reliability, and help us scale to new business types

Contribute to building an exceptional, high-trust engineering culture

Move fast, make pragmatic decisions, and continuously improve our systems

What we’re looking for

Full stack experience, comfortable shipping end-to-end features independently

7-10+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally at web‑scale or high‑growth companies

Strong product sense, with curiosity about how people use what we build

Bias for action, ownership, and improving systems without waiting for permission

Focus and prioritization to ship what matters most

Collaborative mindset, and enjoyment of working in person with a small, driven team in our San Francisco office

Excitement about the intensity, ambiguity, and opportunity of an early‑stage company

Interest in exploring how AI can strengthen both customer outcomes and internal development velocity

Experience with React/TypeScript and Python (FastAPI)

Experience building financial systems of record or products in fintech or accounting domains

Above‑average early stage equity

Competitive early stage salary ($180‑240K)

All the office tools and equipment you need to be productive

Health/dental/vision insurance

401K

Take‑what‑you‑need paid vacation

Expensed lunches and dinners in the office

One of the best parts of joining a company this early is that you become a part of defining it. If you’re excited about shaping the future of accounting and finance, send your resume to
