Responsibilities Patient Care

Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients with gastrointestinal issues.

Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient history.

Perform diagnostic procedures such as endoscopies, colonoscopies, and biopsies.

Interpret diagnostic tests and imaging results to guide treatment decisions.

Manage chronic gastrointestinal conditions, including inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease, and gastrointestinal cancers.

Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, including patient education on procedures and lifestyle modifications.

Collaboration and Communication

Work closely with other healthcare professionals—including primary care physicians, surgeons, and dietitians—to ensure coordinated patient care.

Communicate effectively with patients and families about diagnoses, treatment options, and expected outcomes.

Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions to enhance patient management.

Clinical Research and Education

Engage in clinical research activities and contribute to advancements in gastroenterology.

Stay updated on the latest research, techniques, and advancements in the field.

Mentor and provide guidance to medical residents, fellows, and other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.

Training: Completed an accredited residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Gastroenterology.

Board Certification: Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Gastroenterology.

Experience: 2 years of experience in gastroenterology preferred; new graduates with outstanding training will be considered.

Skills: Strong diagnostic and clinical skills in gastroenterology; proficiency in performing and interpreting gastrointestinal procedures.
