A rapidly expanding pharmaceutical company is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to partner with Sales & Marketing leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives. This role delivers critical financial insights to management while handling essential finance functions including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis under the guidance of the Sr. Manager, FP&A.
This is a hybrid position requiring candidates to be based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Key Responsibilities
Execute monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and cost center tracking
Conduct variance analysis and develop financial reports for senior leadership
Contribute to annual budget preparation, quarterly forecasts, and long-range planning
Oversee contract and purchase requisition approval workflows
Deliver actionable, data-driven insights to inform business strategy
Generate ad-hoc analyses and engage in executive-level financial discussions
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA or MBA a plus)
3-5+ years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or FP&A (pharmaceutical industry background preferred)
Solid understanding of US GAAP principles
Expert-level Excel proficiency and experience with financial reporting systemsSuperior communication skills with ability to present to all organizational levels
Proven analytical thinking and project management expertise
Proactive professional capable of working autonomously
