Young Judaea Sprout Brooklyn Day Camp, located in Red Hook, is a Hebrew dual‑language camp for children entering Pre‑K through 5th grade.
We are seeking a summer Health Director who may be a registered nurse, licensed practical nurse, Emergency Medical Technician, or a person who is certified in Advanced First Aid and CPR Pro by an approved provider.
Responsibilities
Implement the medical portion of the safety plan.
Medical screening of campers and the review of campers’ confidential medical histories prior to camp.
>Follow procedures for daily health screening and sick call. Respond to injuries and illness events.
Maintain the medical log and necessary incident reports.
Communicate with families about illness, incidents, or injuries via phone or email.
Attend and participate in staff meetings and senior staff meetings.
Actively participate in camp life, including opening and closing assemblies.
Be a member of the crisis management team in case of emergency.
Camp runs Monday – Friday from June 22nd – August 14th with a week of required staff training on June 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18. The camp day is 8:30am – 4:15pm.

Requirements
At least 21 years old.
Certified in Advanced First Aid.
Certified in CPR Pro.
