How will you make an impact? As a Business Unit Manager, you will develop and implement programs, projects, or processes for an assigned customer account(s) (Business Unit). You will also develop and sponsor tactics to achieve strategic objectives across functional groups or within a business group through customer interaction. You influence strategic direction and develop tactical plans, completing complex assignments with minimal supervision. You provide comprehensive solutions to complex problems, evaluating end results against goals and objectives. Extensive contact with internal and external customers is required to obtain, clarify, or provide facts and information.
What Will You Do?
Member of the plant strategic leadership team.
Establish and manage current customer relationships, aiming to capitalize on organic revenue growth opportunities.
Demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit and drive; take full responsibility for a customer/site Profit & Loss (P&L) statement (generally in a single site).
Responsible for the Request for Proposal (RFP) process for assigned customer accounts, and may support RFP processes for other accounts.
Lead the workcell and be accountable for its operational and financial performance.
Manage the performance, development, and rewards for direct reports; indirectly manage work of others through Jabil’s workcell business model.
Set pricing (materials and value‑add).
Continuously improve customer relationship performance metrics and satisfaction.
Execute contract terms tactically.
Drive the Quarterly Business Review (QBR) process with assigned customer accounts.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
How Will You Get There? Education
Bachelor’s Degree is required.
Experience
5+ years of work‑related experience, preferably in financial or manufacturing operations.
Experience in plastic injection molding, surface treatment/decoration, CNC, laser, or mechanics manufacturing.
Experience in consumer electronics/wearable devices is required.
Proven experience with strong customer interface.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong and convincing communication skills.
Must speak and understand Mandarin.
Strong financial skill knowledge and aptitude (balance sheet and income statement).
Strong operational knowledge (manufacturing, supply chain).
Proficiency with Jabil tools (financial system, quote process, etc.).
Project‑management skills – manage intensive projects (≤1 year development) and coordinate resources across functional teams worldwide.
Fundamental contract knowledge.
Leadership/people‑management skills.
Strong customer‑service skills.
Knowledge of global and regional logistics operations and industry.
Ability to determine logistics requirements and devise & implement strategies to achieve targets.
Financial and analytical ability; manage business analytics to determine optimum company footprint.
Knowledge of international direct and indirect taxes and global customs regimes.
Track record of successful change‑management accomplishments, continuous productivity and cost‑reduction programs.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and e‑mail skills.
Ability to travel domestically/internationally up to 25 %.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Engineering, Finance/Accounting, or Business Management is a plus.
Experience in a large‑company work environment is a plus.
A combination of education, experience, and/or training will be considered.
Benefits and Compensation
Pay range: $144,400 – $259,900 (based on qualifications, experience, location, education, market data).
Short‑term incentive based on performance.
