This role is crucial to shaping PayPal’s fraud prevention strategy at scale. The Senior Staff Software Engineer will make technical decisions affecting multiple teams, establish conventions and processes, lead multi‑team initiatives, apply industry practices, communicate across audiences, mentor others, and partner with product management. Essential Responsibilities
Make technical decisions affecting multiple teams across organizational boundaries Establish conventions and processes for other employees to follow Determine the utilization of company resources and influence effectiveness Handle multiple, multi‑team initiatives simultaneously, prioritizing judiciously Apply up‑to‑date industry capabilities and practices for optimal results Communicate technical issues with non‑technical audiences Model behavior and knowledge to improve technical results of others (through mentors, 1:1s, working sessions, documentation) Partner with product management to ideate solutions for business problems and goals Minimum Qualifications
Minimum 12 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience Additional Responsibilities and Preferred Qualifications

The U.S. national annual pay range for this role is
