STV’s Water Group is looking to appoint a Vice President – Regional Water Leader who will lead in the development and implementation of strategic growth initiatives to grow the National Water Practice. Working as part of the National Water Practice Leadership team, this role reports to the Water Operating Group President and will be responsible for the overall performance of the regional team while maintaining sustained growth, recruiting, project delivery, and strengthening client satisfaction for new and existing clients in the region.

Responsibilities

Lead, guide, shape, and share the One Water Vision for the National Water Practice, focusing on new and existing services and how the vision applies to clients and pursuits specific to Water Supply and Wastewater Treatment.

Understand client needs and research, develop, and apply new strategies to position pursuit teams and win.

Work with Area Managers on strategic planning and serve as Pursuit leader on strategic opportunities using firm wide processes and procedures for Client Capture Plans, Pursuit Capture Plans, Winning Proposals and Presentations during Interviews.

Work with the National Leadership Team and Local Teams to develop and deploy the strategy across local offices to grow and deliver new work while strengthening current project delivery teams.

Provide technical input and support on sales calls, proposal development, and presentations.

Grow the internal and external brand of the firm for water in the region.

Maintain current client bases with client engagement, routine touch points, and networking as a trusted advisor for the firm with current and future clients.

Provide strong leadership of other senior leaders within STV and strong relationships with new and existing clients and strategic teaming partners.

Operational Leadership

Lead the regional team comprised of the Business Development Director, Area Managers, Operations Director, Technical Leads, Discipline Leads, and Project Managers to keep the team focused and on track each month by holding key positions accountable to set goals and performance metrics.

Mentor, coach, and train selected staff in areas of expertise.

Assist with recruiting in the region.

Provide high level technical input on projects and assigned initiatives.

Provide recommendations to support efficient delivery of work.

Support the National Water Practice Leadership with information and feedback regarding project progress, client satisfaction and technical delivery issues.

Under the Delegation of Authority (DOA), lead the development and execution of new contracts and amendments following proper internal reviews of scopes, schedules, and budgets.

Corporate Leadership

Participate and lead the regional team during the annual sales and business planning cycles.

Provide feedback on approaches to our project delivery team, communications, and overall leadership team management.

Work with corporate leaders to strengthen the regional team.

Facilitate work with the Centers of Excellence (COE).

Maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in an area of practice.

Professional Engineering Degree and Licensure in the region served.

Minimum 20 years of Professional Engineering Consulting experience in Municipal Water Supply and Wastewater Treatment Infrastructure.

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Occasional travel up to 35% of the time with some periods of higher travel if warranted; primary travel within the Northeast with occasional travel to other regions for leadership meetings and planned events.

Compensation $181,725.03 – $227,156.28
