Summary Of Position
Premier HealthNet, Premier Health Specialists, and Upper Valley Professional Corporation offer a variety of Nurse Practitioner positions. Our Nurse Practitioners, working with supervising physicians and clinical staff, are responsible for exemplary patient primary health care and continuity of medical services. Responsibilities vary by position and specialty; practitioners must remain accessible to physicians, staff, and supervisors.
Nature and Scope Knowledge of professional medical practice to provide and evaluate patient care. Skilled in applying and modifying principles, methods, and techniques of medicine to deliver ongoing patient care. Competent in taking medical history, assessing medical condition, and interpreting findings. Ability to maintain quality assurance and control standards. Capable of reacting calmly in emergency situations. Excellent communication skills with patients and colleagues are essential.
Qualifications
Applicant must hold a Master’s degree from an accredited NP program.
Applicant must be a certified NP (ACNP). Current Ohio licensure is required and must be maintained.
Certificate to prescribe must be current and maintained.
Minimum five years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care facility; one year as an NP/ACNP preferred; critical care experience preferred.
Proof of malpractice insurance required.
Thorough understanding of HIPAA law and professional discretion.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Computer literacy required, including Excel, Word, Outlook; EMR experience preferred, especially EPIC.
