Assistant General Counsel, Litigation – An opportunity to lead the litigation, investigations, and regulatory matter portfolio across Intuit Inc. and protect the company, employees, and customers worldwide.
Overview Intuit’s litigation team is a small, dynamic, high‑performing group that oversees litigation, investigation matters involving government entities and regulators, responses to third‑party requests for information, and a wide range of other matters. We champion Intuit’s priorities, role‑model its values, and protect our Company, employees and customers. This role reports to the Vice President, Deputy General Counsel and covers all Intuit Inc. products and services.
Responsibilities
Managing and resolving a wide range of lawsuits and pre‑litigation disputes to achieve good business and legal results and facilitate smart risk‑taking.
Driving responses to investigation matters and inquiries involving regulators and other government entities.
Developing all aspects of strategy for managing and resolving cases and investigations.
Conducting internal investigations and fact development, including working with witnesses.
Working in close partnership with colleagues in the Legal Department and business partners across the company to achieve good business and legal results and facilitate smart risk‑taking.
Helping manage Intuit’s responses to third‑party requests for information, complying with the law and protecting the data of our Company, employees and customers.
Supervising outside counsel and legal service providers, managing budgets and supporting litigation and investigations reporting.
Drafting policies and internal procedures, and conducting training to educate business partners; adding rigor to all aspects of internal processes and championing data‑driven decisions.
Qualifications
JD in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar and the ability to practice law in your local jurisdiction.
15+ combined years of experience in litigation and investigations with a top‑tier law firm, in‑house legal department, and/or government office (e.g., U.S. Attorney’s office, state Attorney General’s office, FTC, SEC, etc.). Prior corporate in‑house experience preferred.

Compensation Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay‑for‑performance rewards approach. This position is eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits in accordance with our applicable plans and programs. Pay is based on factors such as job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.

Southern California: $223,000–$301,500
Washington, DC: $218,000–$294,500
