Your Role As Head of Accounting, you will be the senior accounting leader responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of all financial reporting across Entyre Care’s U.S. operations. Based full‑time in our Boston office and reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will oversee all aspects of accounting operations—including general ledger management, consolidation of multi‑entity structures, technical accounting, audits, and compliance. This is a hands‑on, execution‑driven leadership role ideal for a CPA with deep accounting expertise and a strong operational mindset who thrives in a high‑growth, mission‑driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations & Consolidation

Lead all accounting functions across multiple state entities, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.

Oversee the month‑end and year‑end close processes, consolidations, and intercompany eliminations.

Implement standardized accounting practices and controls across entities to ensure consistency and integrity of reporting.

Technical Accounting & Compliance

Maintain full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including tax, audit, and reporting requirements.

Prepare and support external audits, ensuring proper documentation and timely responses.

Provide technical accounting guidance for new transactions and business activities (e.g., revenue recognition, lease accounting, capitalization).

Lead and develop regional accounting teams, providing mentorship and technical guidance.

Build a culture of ownership, accuracy, and continuous improvement within the accounting function.

Systems, Processes & Controls

Strengthen the internal control environment, ensuring effective segregation of duties and risk mitigation.

Drive automation and process improvements to accelerate close timelines and improve reporting accuracy.

Partner with the CFO and IT to enhance accounting systems and financial data architecture.

Deliver timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior leadership.

Translate accounting results into actionable insights for the CFO and executive team.

Support management reporting, board presentations, and key financial analyses.

Job Requirements

CPA required or in final stages of certification.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).

8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including multi‑entity or multi‑state operations.

Proven experience managing accounting teams and leading consolidations.

Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and audit procedures.

Hands‑on experience with accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or similar).

Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
