Senior Software Engineer – Chennai (On-site) About the Role We’re a fast-moving, top-tier VC-funded Silicon Valley startup building ambitious products at the intersection of modern web applications and AI systems. We thrive in ambiguity, ship fast, and care deeply about reliability, security, and craftsmanship.
You’ll work end-to-end—from whiteboard to production—owning services, shaping architecture, and helping define engineering culture from the ground up.
What You’ll Do
Design and build scalable backend services and frontends
Productionize AI, LLM features (RAG, agents, prompt pipelines, evals)
Optimize model performance, cost, and latency
Design robust APIs (REST, GraphQL, gRPC)
Collaborate with product and design teams
Mentor engineers through reviews and documentation

Curious, self-driven, and proactive
Strong systems and API design mindset
Experience with databases and zero‑downtime deployments
Practical experience building with LLMs
Security‑first engineering approach
Nice to Have
Vector databases and embeddings pipelines
Model hosting and inference optimization
Infra, CI/CD, containers, and cloud experience
Modern frontend frameworks (TypeScript‑based)
Startup or open‑source experience
