Corporate /IP Counsel (Bilingual: English/Mandarin)

The candidate will join our legal team and will interact with and support various groups across the company, with a primary focus on IP. The position is on-site in San Jose, CA and reports to the Legal Director.
Responsibilities
Assist in drafting, reviewing, and prosecuting patent applications in collaboration with external counsel.
Support IP litigation, enforcement, and licensing activities.
Educate engineers and R&D teams on IP best practices and invention disclosures.
Maintain and manage the company’s IP portfolio and database.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, business development, and external legal counsel.
Attend other legal matters when needed.
Qualifications
Law degree from an accredited law school.
3‑5 years of experience in legal practice, preferably in both firm and in‑house settings, with an IP law focus.
Admission to a bar association.
Strong knowledge of patent laws, IP litigation, and technology licensing.
Ability to analyze complex technical and legal issues and provide strategic recommendations.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
1‑3 years of experience in the semiconductor or technology industry.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Semiconductor Engineering, or a related technical field.
Registration with a patent office (e.g., USPTO, CNIPA, EPO).
Prior experience in international patent law.
