As a **Security Officer - Access Control Lobby** in **Colonial Heights, VA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entrances and exits at the location, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence. **What You'll Do:**

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a secure environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, reporting any suspicious activity or security-related concerns.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of access control activities, incidents, and observations during each shift.
• Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and team members to support a positive atmosphere and address security-related questions or concerns.

**Minimum Requirements:**

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
