Material Handler

Job Summary:

You will be responsible for handling, staging, and organizing a variety of materials, utilizing specialized equipment to maintain optimal workflow. As a Material Handler, you will work collaboratively with our logistics team to manage inventory and guarantee the timely processing of all inbound and outbound shipments. Responsibilities:

• Load and unload materials from incoming and outgoing transportation.
• Transport materials within the facility using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other mechanical aids.
• Prepare and stage materials for order fulfillment, shipping, and receiving.
• Accurately organize and manage inventory in assigned warehouse areas.
• Conduct routine safety checks on all equipment prior to use.
• Strictly adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including safe lifting protocols.
• Assist with cycle counts and full inventory assessments.
• Ensure the tidiness and orderliness of your work area.
• Operate material handling equipment with precision and efficiency.
• Maintain clear communication with supervisors and colleagues regarding material status and operational needs.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent credential.
• Prior experience as a Material Handler or in a comparable warehouse setting is highly advantageous.
• Proficiency in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling apparatus (relevant certifications may be required or attainable through our training programs).
• Demonstrated physical strength and endurance for lifting and transporting substantial weights.
• Solid understanding of warehouse safety protocols and best practices.
• Familiarity with inventory control concepts.
• Exceptional collaboration and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Capacity to perform effectively in a physically demanding work environment.
• Consciousness regarding the importance and correct usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• General knowledge of logistics and supply chain operations is beneficial.
