Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and analytical Inventory Control Specialist to join our logistics team in Seattle, Washington. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your duties will include conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, reconciling inventory records, and implementing processes to minimize stock loss. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a thorough understanding of inventory management principles within a warehouse setting. You will work closely with other departments, including operations and receiving, to ensure accurate stock levels and efficient warehouse flow. We are looking for individuals who are proactive, meticulous, and dedicated to maintaining high standards of inventory accuracy. Comprehensive training on our systems and procedures will be provided, along with all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Understanding safe inventory handling and storage practices, including safe lifting techniques, is crucial. Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock levels.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies between system records and physical counts.
  • Reconcile inventory adjustments and maintain accurate records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control procedures to prevent loss and damage.
  • Collaborate with receiving and shipping teams to ensure accurate put-away and picking.
  • Monitor stock rotation (e.g., FIFO/LIFO) as applicable.
  • Generate inventory reports for management review.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of improved inventory control processes.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations, including proper lifting and handling of goods, and use of PPE.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse operations.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and moderate lifting.
  • Good understanding of inventory management best practices and logistics.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE and safe lifting techniques.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
