Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Material Handler for our Milwaukee, Wisconsin facility to manage the movement and organization of materials within our warehouse. This role is critical to the smooth operation of our logistics chain, ensuring that materials are available when and where they are needed. You will operate various types of material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, to move, stage, and store goods. A strong focus on Safety and efficiency is paramount. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Move raw materials, components, and finished goods to and from production areas, storage, and shipping docks.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas.
- Perform routine inspections of material handling equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory checks.
- Ensure all materials are properly identified and stored.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and use appropriate PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Valid forklift operator certification preferred.
- Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory management.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting of heavy materials, up to 70 lbs.
- Commitment to maintaining a Safe and efficient work environment.
- Knowledge of proper lifting techniques.
