Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach) safely and productively.
- Load and unload materials from delivery trucks and shipping containers.
- Transport inventory accurately to and from storage locations, production lines, and shipping docks.
- Perform daily pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any defects.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
- Strictly adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and guidelines, including the proper use of PPE .
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and stock verification.
- Ensure efficient flow of materials within the warehouse to support our logistics goals.
- Follow all procedures for the safe handling and storage of goods.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to optimize workflow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification and a minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Proven ability to safely operate forklifts in a busy warehouse setting.
- Capability for regular lifting of items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics .
- Knowledge of warehouse safety best practices and mandatory PPE requirements.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
