Job Summary:
Join our growing logistics company as a Forklift Operator in Kansas City, Missouri! We are looking for skilled and safety-conscious individuals to operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your expertise will be vital in maintaining the smooth operation of our warehouse and ensuring timely order fulfillment. This role demands precision, a strong understanding of warehouse procedures, and an unwavering commitment to Safety . You will be responsible for handling materials of varying sizes and weights, requiring consistent Lifting and careful operation of equipment. We provide all necessary PPE , and expect our team members to utilize it diligently. This is a key position within our Logistics network.
Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move pallets and materials within the warehouse.
  • Load and unload trucks, containers, and trailers.
  • Transport materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
  • Stack and unstack pallets and materials in designated racking systems.
  • Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
  • Accurately record inventory movements and assist with stock checks.
  • Follow all safety regulations and procedures, including maintaining a clear work area.
  • Wear and maintain required PPE , such as hard hats, safety shoes, and high-visibility vests.
  • Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including organizing and cleaning.
  • Ensure efficient flow of goods through the warehouse, contributing to our Logistics success.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
  • Valid forklift operator certification or willingness to obtain one.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory control.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace Safety .
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
