Forklift Operator

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and certified Forklift Operator to join our team in Colorado Springs, Colorado. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our logistics facility. Your expertise in operating various types of forklifts will be essential in maintaining smooth operations and ensuring the integrity of our inventory.
Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
• Inspect forklift equipment daily to ensure it is in good working order, reporting any defects immediately.
• Adhere to all Safety regulations and company policies regarding forklift operation and warehouse procedures.
• Load and unload trucks and containers, ensuring accurate placement and securing of goods.
• Pick and stage orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timely preparation.
• Participate in inventory management, including cycle counts and stock put-away.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, free from hazards.
• Wear appropriate PPE, including safety shoes and high-visibility vests, at all times while operating machinery.
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed to support the overall Logistics team.

Qualifications:

• Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA compliant).
• Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.

• Ability to perform physical tasks, including significant Lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, and prolonged standing.
• Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
• Ability to work independently and meet performance targets.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in moving and staging materials.
• Excellent communication skills.
