Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and containers, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Stack and organize inventory in racking systems accurately and safely.
- Perform daily pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and warehouse operating procedures.
- Assist with receiving, put-away, and order picking processes as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, free from obstructions.
- Participate in inventory control activities, such as cycle counts.
- Ensure compliance with all PPE requirements.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA compliant).
- Minimum 1-2 years of proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices for material handling.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
