Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required documentation.
- Verify shipment contents against orders to ensure accuracy.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, USPS, LTL) to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Package items securely and efficiently to prevent damage during transit.
- Communicate with customers regarding shipping status and address any shipping-related inquiries.
- Maintain accurate records of all outgoing shipments.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Operate shipping equipment, such as pallet jacks and shrink wrap machines.
- Perform regular checks on shipping supplies and reorder as needed.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE to ensure a safe work environment.
- Assist in other warehouse functions as needed to support logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or a related logistics role is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and online carrier portals.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to stand and move throughout the workday.
- Must be willing to use required PPE.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety protocols.
