Warehouse Supervisor

Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team in Huntsville, Alabama. The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, managing staff, and ensuring productivity, accuracy, and safety within the distribution center. This leadership role is vital for optimizing our logistics processes and maintaining high standards of performance.
Responsibilities:

• Supervise, train, and mentor warehouse staff, fostering a productive and positive work environment.
• Plan and assign daily tasks to warehouse personnel, ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion of orders.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure accuracy through regular cycle counts and audits.
• Implement and enforce all safety regulations and company policies, ensuring the use of proper PPE.
• Optimize warehouse layout and processes for maximum efficiency and space utilization.
• Manage the receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
• Coordinate with other departments (e.g., transportation, sales) to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain equipment and ensure it is in good working order, scheduling repairs as needed.
• Address employee concerns and resolve operational issues promptly.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall logistics performance.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and the ability to enforce them effectively, including the correct use of PPE.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for long periods.
• High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certifications are a plus.
