Weare seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Trauma Acute Care Surgery (ACS)Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join a dynamic trauma team in Bakersfield,CA. This position is ideal for a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant(PA) who thrives in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Candidates withexperience in trauma and acute care surgery are strongly preferred.
Asa Trauma ACS APP, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary teamto provide comprehensive care to trauma patients. Your key responsibilitieswill include performing initial assessments, diagnostics, and evaluations fortrauma patients, assisting in the management of acute surgical cases, andcoordinating care plans.
Additionally,you will participate in trauma resuscitations, patient stabilization, andfollow-up care. Your role will involve assisting in surgical procedures underthe supervision of a trauma surgeon, rounding on trauma and surgical patientsin the hospital (including ICU and step-down units), and documenting patientcare in the electronic medical record (EMR). Contributing to qualityimprovement initiatives and trauma program development will also be an integralpart of your responsibilities.
Compensation: $135,000 for 175 shifts
Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of California.
- Board Certification as an NP or PA.
- Advanced certifications, including ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), and ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support), are highly preferred.
- Experience in trauma, emergency medicine, critical care, or acute care surgery is preferred, but new grads will be considered
