We re seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Surgery PA for an exciting locum assignment in Syracuse, NY! Join a high-performing cardiac surgery team and put your advanced surgical skills to work in a dynamic, supportive environment.
This role is ideal for a PA who thrives in the OR , enjoys hands-on procedural work, and wants to make an impact in a top-tier cardiac program. ️
ScheduleMonday Friday 7:00 AM 5:00 PM
Call: 1 2 evenings/week (operating call from home)
Assignment Dates: 2/1/26 5/1/26
Chest tube insertions
Vein harvesting / retrieval of vascular tissues for bypass
1st assist in Cardiothoracic Surgery
Mix of OR , ICU , and floor coverage
EMR: Epic
️ NCCPA Certification REQUIRED
️ Active NY State PA License REQUIRED
️ BLS & ACLS REQUIRED
️ Cardiac surgery operating experience (including 1st assist & vein harvest)
Robotic experience (bonus!)
Surgical Level: Trauma Level II
Supervising Physician: Onsite
Patient Population: Adults
Autonomy Level: Collaborative (not autonomous)
