CURE is seeking an experienced Claims Adjuster to join our team as a Bodily Injury Litigation Claims Representative. We are an auto insurance carrier operating in Michigan, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.This position is responsible for managing bodily injury auto claims, including uninsured and underinsured motorist claims, in the states of Michigan, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.

Essential Job Functions:

Investigate the validity of claims, evaluate policy coverage, and determine if any referrals to the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) are necessary.

Make prompt contact with policyholders and other relevant parties to gather required documentation, conduct recorded statements, and more.

Establish initial reserves based on gathered information, adjusting as needed throughout the life of the claim.

Negotiate timely and fair settlements with claimants, attorneys, or other parties. Issue accurate payments as appropriate.

Identify potential risks, red flags, and fraud indicators, escalating concerns to the SIU when applicable.

Maintain an organized diary system to ensure all claims are handled efficiently and in compliance with timelines.

Effectively manage the loss costs associated with litigation claims.

Adhere to all state and local regulations, including New Jersey and Pennsylvania Unfair Claims Practices and Guidelines.

Experience/Qualifications:

1+ year of experience handling Bodily Injury claims.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to provide excellent customer service.

Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.

Strong analytical, investigative, and negotiation skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and navigate new computer systems and technologies.

Physical Actions/Environment: Required job duties consist of prompt and regular attendance, ability to frequently move about the office to coordinate work with others; standing, sitting and typing for extended periods; and lifting and/or carrying up to 5 lbs. Ability to frequently communicate with others in-person, on the phone/virtually, and in writing. Ability to read, understand, process and evaluate large amounts of technical information and make related, informed decisions.

Starting Salary:$66,560 - $85,280

Schedule:We offer flexible work hours between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, and employees can choose a schedule that works best for them8:00 AM4:00 PM, 8:30 AM4:30 PM, or 9:00 AM5:00 PM. While we aim to support individual preferences, final schedules may be adjusted based on business needs to ensure great coverage and teamwork.

We offer a hybrid work schedule: team members work onsite 4 days per week and have the flexibility to work remotely 1 day per week.
