Head of Packaging Start: immediately in Pleasant Prairie, WI / United States Permanent position, Full-time The
Head of Packaging
has overall responsibility of all high-speed packaging line operations across all three shifts. This role will lead, coach, develop, and mentor shift Supervisors, Team Leads, and hourly associates in the Packaging department at HARIBO of Americas brand new, state-of-the art manufacturing facility in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, in the Kenosha/southeastern Wisconsin area while continuing to develop and sustain our people-centric culture.
The
Head of Packaging,
reporting up to the Head of Operations, is responsible for delivering the established goals for productivity, quality, safety, and has overall responsibility for the Packaging department across all three shifts. This is a first shift position, that will also partner closely with other internal teams and departments including the manufacturing and production teams.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, prior experience with high-speed packaging equipment, a Bachelors Degree, SAP experience, and prior experience in food manufacturing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, or consumer goods manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
Lead the Packaging team, across all three shifts, responsible for Packaging department functions and goals
Provide leadership in developing and sustaining a people centric culture
Prepares operational schedules
Manage and develop Supervisors, Team Leads, and hourly associates in the Packaging department
Collaborate with Maintenance to ensure high-speed packaging machines are operational and optimized in order to hit production goals
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree
5+ years of supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment
Prior experience with high-speed packaging equipment
Preferred Qualifications:
SAP experience
Six Sigma Certification
Prior experience working in food manufacturing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and/or consumer goods manufacturing
Skills
Business and financial acumen
Strong decision making and problem solving skills
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written, at all levels of the organization
Ability to lead, develop, direct, and hold others accountable for HARIBOs high standards
Compensation
Target Hiring Pay Range: $120,000 - $150,000 annually
This pay range represents the min/max target annual base salary range HARIBO of America, Inc. may pay for this position at the time of this posting. Please note, a candidates offered annual salary will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate's relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, internal equity, and the geographical location of the role.
