Staff Accountant
opportunities in the Camden County area. These positions can be on-site or hybrid.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP. Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and accruals. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies. Prepare supporting schedules for financial statements and assist with variance analysis. Review and process expense reports, ensuring proper coding and adherence to company policies. Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed. Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounting function.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 2+ years of accounting experience; public accounting or corporate experience preferred. Strong understanding of GAAP and standard accounting practices. Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks). Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs). Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with a high degree of accuracy. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
