Lab Assistant
to support our client’s medical facility based in
Irving TX 75063 . This is a 3-4-month assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

1AM-9:30AM Tuesday -Saturday Job Description: Job Summary: The Lab Assistant is responsible for performing various routine laboratory functions with precision and accuracy to support laboratory professionals and ensure efficient production. Key Responsibilities:
Sort and receive specimens in the department. Prepare specimens at workstations for testing, including: Building worklists and aliquoting specimens. Checking for clots and fibrin in specimens. Inoculation and slide preparation. Perform routine instrument maintenance on some lab equipment. Prepare reagents and media as needed. Conduct weekly radioactive wipe tests. Change gas cylinders as required. Quality Assurance & Safety Compliance: Resolve pending lists and locate missing samples. Decontaminate work areas and dispose of biohazardous materials. Follow all PPE requirements and adhere to safety regulations. Maintain department records and files. Record data, including temperature charts. Utilize the laboratory computer system and PCs for lab operations. Complete training and competency checklists as required.
